After checking with the customer it seemed that especially the CIFS shares were having problems. At first CIFS was getting slower until the shares were not even accessible anymore.
Restarting the CIFS on the filer did solve the problem for a few minutes, but within half an hour the the problems were back again.

Almost 380gb of data was stored in this tablespace.
Because of all the targets registered in this Grid Control instance and the frequent usage of this Grid Control, I did not think anything was wrong.
Untill someone looked into this and found out it was a bug in 12c...

Using the runnstaller I fist created the 12c database with the 'Create as container database' option enabled.
After installing the database, I dicided to use the dbca to create another plugable database.

Our monitoring shows a 'time out' on different checks and when trying to connect using sql, the sql session is hanging. No connection is possible.
A few days ago, something like this happened again. Instead of bouncing the database, I decided to look for clues to find out why the database was 'hanging'.
