Preparing Oracle Linux....

Before you can begin installing EBS 11.5.10 on the Oracle Linux platform, you have to install the following packages also..

- libaio-0.3.102-1.i386.rpm
- libaio-devel-0.3.102-1.i386.rpm
- openmotif21-2.1.30-11.FC2.1.i386.rpm

Also install the following patch (download from Metalink...)

- p4198954_40_LINUX.zip ( compat-libcwait-2.1-1.i386.rpm + compat-oracle-rhel4-1.0-5.i386.rpm)

And don't forget to set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL parameter to 2.4.19

Now, you are ready to install the EBS 11.5.10

It is enough to download the packages and configure the kernel for install the EBS 11.5.10 or you need to follow another steps?

Do one need to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 for installing Oracle EBS Release 12 also?

Hi,

when installing R12, I also set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL, but I am not sure if it is a prereq for R12

i tried to install R12 without setting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and it installed succuessfully, but some error came while i tried to access the application from other machine.

what is the error you get when trying to acces the application ?

The conc programs are running fine. However, i am still not able to see the dbi dashbaords. To reproduce login as oratest/welcome.
exp: when i go to supply chain intelligence resp and then click on customer fulfllment management overview (or any other)dashboard. The headers appear but the complete dashboard never appears.
Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: BIB-7000 Cannot access X Server

can u help me out.

it seems like a problem with your x-server. Do you have a x-server running on your server ?

i implemented every solution found on the metalink,

checked the Xserver, its running
Bounce the Services.
Set the Display variable.
Modified the jserv.properties.

But still getting the same error.
Any suggestion may be Helpful for me.
